Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church donates $21,500 to Community Cooperative
Gateway Trinity Luther Church held it’s 7th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 10th at the Gateway Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers. The golf event which included an 18 hole scramble format golf tournament, lunch, dinner and raffles raised $43,000. These proceeds will benefit both Community Cooperative, who’s mission is to end hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida, and the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Members of Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church have been actively involved with both organizations for many years.
“The community response has once again been incredible this year. Our two deserving charities provide so much help and support to those who are less fortunate, and our success comes from the generous community of families and businesses that have donated more than $210,000 during the last seven years,” says golf tournament director and Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church member Russ Reynolds.
