The 20th Annual Sam Galloway Jr. & Friends Soup Kitchen Benefit is scheduled for Thursday, March 9th, 2023.
The event will be held at the service garages of Sam Galloway Ford in Fort Myers. Cocktail hour will start at 5:30p.m., and dinner will be served at 7:00p.m.
The proceeds from the event benefit Community Cooperative, the umbrella organization for Sam’s Community Café & Kitchen, the Community Market, Mobile Food Pantries, Meals on Wheels, Healthy School Pantry and Food Literacy in Pre-School (FLIP) programs, and Social and Education Resource Centers for our hungry and homeless neighbors. Each year this fundraiser continues to be one of the most anticipated signature events in our community raising upwards of one million dollars.
“With the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian, as well as rising food prices, many people in our community are reaching out to us for assistance more than ever before,” says Stefanie Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “The need within the Southwest Florida community continues to grow and it is important that we support those in need through our vital programs.”
