Community Cooperative strives to be the leader in alleviating hunger and homelessness in our community by addressing key root causes. With a dedicated team of volunteers, board of directors and staff, Community Cooperative stays committed to our core responsibility to collect and distribute resources through a strong and viable network of community partners. Community Cooperative is an exemplary steward of the resources entrusted to us, and serves our clients with compassion and integrity. Through collaboration and ongoing education, Community Cooperative supports and strengthens those whose lives have been affected by hunger and homelessness, ensuring that they have access to the resources necessary to transform their lives with dignity.

Q. How do I organize a food drive or homeless supplies drive to support Community Cooperative?
Thank you so much for supporting Community Cooperative. All the food drive and homeless supplies drive information is located on our Donate Page including a list of recommended items and wish lists.
Q. How does a food business, such as a restaurant, supermarket, food manufacturer, or farm go about donating food product to Community Cooperative?
Please Contact Us to speak to our food services manager.
Q. Does Community Cooperative accept walk-in or anonymous food donations?
Yes, Community Cooperative accepts walk-in or anonymous food donations. Please be sure to deliver your donation during our delivery hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). If you have any questions please contact us prior to your drop-off.
Volunteer
Q. What volunteer opportunities are there at Community Cooperative?
- Everyday Café (Soup Kitchen)
- Duties include preparing foods, serving the hungry and homeless and cleaning up the kitchen.
- Choice Marketplace
- Duties include guiding customers in collecting take home food for their families. Volunteer needs to have a strong back to restock the Everyday Market which involves lifting and bending.
- Meals on Wheels
- Drivers are scheduled for a ride along with another driver before receiving a route. Drivers usually volunteer one morning per week. Coolers are ready for pick up 8:30 am from a Community Cooperative site or one of our satellite locations. Each route takes about 2 to 2 ½ hours to deliver and take place during the morning hours of 8:30 am to 10:30 am. We also need back-up drivers and volunteers to transport meals to pick-up locations for drivers.
- Preparing, cooking and package Meals on Wheels meals starts as early as 6:00 am every weekday.
- Homeless Services, Social Services and Life Coaching
- Greeting customers, gathering information, preparing hygiene packages, linking homeless clients to community services, offering housing and employment opportunities, Medicaid and food stamp applications are just among the few of the opportunities.
- Administrative Help
- All areas – phones, filing, and data input, mailing and projects.

Q. Does Community Cooperative offer both individual and group volunteer opportunities?
Yes, when available, Community Cooperative offers opportunities for both individual and group volunteers.
Q. What is required for me to volunteer at the Community Cooperative?
There is an application that we ask all volunteers to fill out before volunteering. Click here to reach the volunteer form.
Meals on Wheels
Q. How do I become a volunteer with Meals on Wheels?
