RESCHEDULED: Community Cooperative’s 18th Annual Becoming Cosmopolitan: ‘Mad About Hunger’ to be held Thursday, Nov. 7

The need for community support is even greater after the impact of hurricanes Helene and Milton

FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 15, 2024) – Community Cooperative’s popular annual fall fundraiser, Becoming Cosmopolitan: Mad About Hunger, has been rescheduled due to Hurricane Milton to Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. at The Ranch Concert Hall & Saloon in Fort Myers.

“As always, Community Cooperative is on the ground as soon as possible after storms impacting our community with hot meals, donations, mobile food pantries and Meals on Wheels,” said Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “It’s what we are charged to do. This event, while a light-hearted way to raise much needed funds, is critical to our ability to be there every time for our community.”

At the event, more than 300 guests will venture down the rabbit hole for an absolutely maddening evening featuring a mad tea party and treats, cocktails that will make you big and small, an imaginative silent auction, and a wondrously good time – all while raising money to support Community Cooperative’s mission of ending hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida. The public will be able to bid on auction items available during the event.

Tickets are $250 for VIP, with general admission $150. Visit CommunityCooperative.com/Events/Becoming-Cosmopolitan-Mad-About-Hunger/ to purchase tickets. Closer to the event, the link for auction items will be added.

Sponsorships, as well as donations for silent and live auctions, are needed. Contact Jade@CommunityCooperative.com or call 239-332-7687 ext. 101 for more information.
