School’s Out, Hunger’s Not
We need YOUR help to fight childhood hunger in our community this summer.
“There are hungry families struggling in every neighborhood, and summer months when children are out of school can prove to be even more difficult,” says Stefanie Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “One in six children has experienced hunger in Lee County and with the increasing cost of food and gas prices, we are estimating that number to increase. No child should ever have to worry about how or when they will eat their next meal.”
The School’s Out, Hunger’s Not initiative highlights a series of food collection pop-up events, where local businesses host the community to come to a food and funds drive to fight summer hunger in our community. Consider hosting your own School’s Out, Hunger’s Not pop-up event. For more information email Grisel@CommunityCooperative.com or call (239) 332-7687 ext. 105.
