Community Cooperative’s Year-End Giving: Make a Lasting Impact!
FORT MYERS, Fla. (December 26, 2024) – Community Cooperative is encouraging the community to make year-end contributions that will continue to support the organization’s mission of ending hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida. With the generosity of their supporters, the nonprofit has provided vital services such as food assistance, and other essential resources to individuals and families facing hardship.
“Community Cooperative is incredibly grateful for the support of the community, whose compassion and generosity help make a significant impact on the lives of families and individuals,” says Stefanie Ink Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at Community Cooperative. “Together, we have created ripples of hope in the community, and as the year draws to a close, we invite everyone to consider making a year-end gift to continue this important work.”
As the year-end approaches, Community Cooperative is reminding individuals that their donations can provide much-needed assistance to those in crisis:
- $100 can provide a month’s worth of emergency groceries for a family in need.
- Donations made (or postmarked) by December 31st not only make a direct impact but also offer valuable tax benefits for donors.
- Contributions can also be made through Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), or appreciated stocks, offering donors additional giving options.
Community Cooperative’s services are a lifeline for families facing hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida. Every contribution, regardless of size, supports their vital programs and helps provide hope and stability to those in need.
“We are asking the community to help us close out 2024 with hope,” said Jade Bird, Director of Development at Community Cooperative. “Your support can make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors, and together, we can continue to build a stronger, more compassionate community in the year ahead.”
Donations can be made online or by mail to the Community Cooperative office postmarked by December 31st to take advantage of tax benefits for the 2024 tax year.
