Community Cooperative’s Sam Galloway Jr. & Friends Soup Kitchen Benefit Fundraiser to Support Local Programs Fighting Hunger and Homelessness
FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 27, 2025) – Community Cooperative’s upcoming fundraising event Sam Galloway, Jr. & Friends Soup Kitchen Benefit, set for March 6, 2025, at Sam Galloway Ford directly supports their mission to end hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida.
All funds raised during the event will go directly back to the community through Community Cooperative’s impactful programs, including Sam’s Community Café & Kitchen, Community Market, Mobile Food Pantries, Social Services & Educational Resource Centers, and Growing Healthy Kids & Families Program.
As the demand for these essential services continues to rise, Community Cooperative remains dedicated to meeting the increasing need. In 2024, the organization reached remarkable milestones, serving over 117,000 meals to homebound elderly, disabled, and ill clients through Meals on Wheels. They also assisted more than 46,000 unduplicated people through various programs, cooked and served close to 270,000 meals at Sam’s Community Café & Kitchen, and distributed over 2 million pounds of emergency food to the community. With more than 46,000 volunteer hours contributed by over 2,000 active volunteers, this surge in demand underscores the critical role Community Cooperative plays in supporting those facing food insecurity and homelessness in Southwest Florida.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from our community,” said Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “The funds raised at this event will allow us to expand our efforts and continue providing essential services to our neighbors in need. Together, we can make a lasting impact and continue our mission to end hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida.”
