    Community Cooperative’s Annual PB&J Drive Success: 9 Tons of Peanut Butter & Jelly Collected

    FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 13, 2024) –  In a remarkable display of community support, Community Cooperative celebrates a monumental achievement, collecting an astounding 9 tons of peanut butter and jelly for its annual peanut butter and jelly drive for the month of April. From humble beginnings of distributing PB&J sandwiches to those in need, to now witnessing this incredible milestone, the journey has been nothing short of remarkable.

    “We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community,” says Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “To witness the impact of our mission and the generosity of so many is truly amazing.”

    Community Cooperative PB&J drive saw participation from individuals, businesses, schools, churches, and all organizations alike that exceeded all expectations. With a goal of 10,000 pounds, Community Cooperative collected over 18,000 pounds of peanut butter and jelly. “We owe an immense amount of gratitude to every single person who contributed, volunteered, and supported us. You’ve allowed us to not only meet but surpass our goal this year, and a huge congratulations to the three winners of this year’s ‘Most Love Collected’ awards,” said Jade Bird, Director of Development at Community Cooperative.

    Community Cooperatives Most Love Collected Awards were broken into three categories: schools/churches, Organizations, and Communities (by door count).

    Most Love Collected Winners

    School/Church – Edison Park Creative and Expressive Arts Elementary School

    Community – Pointe Royal

    Business – Corrective Spinal Care

    Community Cooperative thanks everyone who participated and helped spread the love in this year’s PB&J Drive, they can’t wait to do it all again next year!
