Community Cooperative Names Janelle Olson New Director of Development

FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 8, 2025) – Community Cooperative is pleased to announce the promotion of Janelle Olson to Director of Development. Janelle has been with the organization for four years, starting as the Volunteer Services Manager, and then serving as Community Engagement Director. Her dedication and leadership have made a significant impact on the organization and the community it serves.

In her new role, Janelle will oversee all strategic philanthropic efforts, to help in furthering Community Cooperative’s mission to address hunger and homelessness in the region. Her expertise in fundraising, community engagement and her strong leadership skills will continue to play a key role in driving the success of their programs and initiatives, all to enhance streams of revenue and resources for the organization.

Since joining Community Cooperative, Janelle has helped lead key community outreach initiatives and fundraising efforts that have supported thousands of individuals and families in need. Her promotion to Director of Development reflects the organization’s continued growth and commitment to building a stronger, more resilient community.
