Community Cooperative is ‘Mad about Milton’ as They Postpone Their Becoming Cosmopolitan: Mad about Hunger Fundraiser
FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 7, 2024) – In light of Hurricane Milton, Community Cooperative is postponing their “Becoming Cosmopolitan: Mad About Hunger” fundraising event. While they were excited to gather and raise awareness for hunger in our community, their top priority right now is to focus their efforts on helping and serving those in our community.
“We understand that our community is facing significant challenges due to Hurricane Milton, and we are committed to providing the support needed to navigate this difficult time,” said Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need, and we are redirecting our energy towards immediate relief efforts.”
As Community Cooperative shifts their focus, they are actively working to assist those impacted by Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene through their Hurricane Relief Fund. This fund will help provide essential supplies, food, and support to families and individuals in our community who need it most.
Hurricane Relief Fund
Community Cooperative has reopened the Lee County Strong Emergency Relief Fund to better serve the thousands of people needing assistance in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Right now, financial contributions are the most urgent need and the most impactful way that you can support our outreach efforts. Your gift of any amount helps us better care for our community in this way, and 100% of every single dollar donated to this fund will go directly toward relief and recovery efforts.
Your love and support for this organization and the local community make an enormous positive impact on the lives of thousands of southwest Florida residents who are struggling right now. Please consider making a donation by visiting www.CommunityCooperative.com/give-help/hurricanerelief/ and spread the word so that they can better serve this community in crisis.
