  • Community Cooperative Announces Pop-Up Mobile in Partnership with Florida SouthWestern College

    March 17, 2026

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Community Cooperative Announces Pop-Up Mobile in Partnership with

    Florida SouthWestern College

FORT MYERS, Fla. (March 12, 2026) – Community Cooperative, in partnership with the Florida SouthWestern College, is launching a new monthly Mobile Food Pantry to provide free emergency groceries and vital resources to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

The Mobile Food Pantry will be held on Friday, March 27th, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Florida SouthWestern College, 8099 College Parkway, Lot 11, Fort Myers, FL 33919.

This initiative is designed to remove barriers to access by bringing nutritious food and resources directly into the community. Pre-registration is not required; attendees need only bring a government-issued ID to receive assistance.

“At a time when many families are facing genuine hardship, access to nutritious food is a necessity — not a luxury,” said Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “Through our expanded partnership with Florida SouthWestern State College, we’re able to meet people where they are and offer meaningful support when it’s needed most. We are truly grateful for their partnership and their shared commitment to caring for our community.”

“We are incredibly thankful for our ongoing partnership with Community Cooperative, and how it continues to grow in ways that directly impact our students. Their continued collaboration and generosity ensure our students have access to nutritious food and feel supported by their community” said Ashley Myatt-Chisum, Director of Care Servies & Adaptive Services of Florida SouthWestern State College. “Community Cooperative’s time, resources, and commitment allow us not only to support our campus Care Pantry but also to serve as a mobile pantry. We are looking forward to our next collaboration.”

Community Cooperative encourages residents, partners, and community leaders to help spread the word to ensure families in need are aware of this ongoing resource.
