Community Cooperative Partners with The Immokalee Foundation and Midwest Food Bank for Rescheduled Pop-Up Mobile Food Pantry in Immokalee
FORT MYERS, Fla. (November 13, 2024) – Community Cooperative is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with The Immokalee Foundation and Midwest Food Bank to host a Pop-Up Mobile Food Pantry in Immokalee. Originally scheduled for October 10th, this mobile food pantry has been rescheduled to November 14th due to Hurricane Milton, which impacted the region. The rescheduled mobile food pantry marks a significant step in expanding Community Cooperative’s outreach and addressing food insecurity in an underserved area of Southwest Florida.
The Pop-Up Mobile Food Pantry will bring essential food supplies directly to the Immokalee community. With the support of The Immokalee Foundation’s dedicated volunteers and Midwest Food Bank’s generous food donations, this mobile food pantry will help provide vital resources to families in need.
“We are truly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate alongside The Immokalee Foundation and Midwest Food Bank,” said Enyah Thompkins, Food Pantries Coordinator at Community Cooperative. “Together, we are able to extend our reach and provide much-needed support to Immokalee families, ensuring they have access to the food and resources they need.”
The mobile food pantry will now take place on November 14th at Immokalee High School, 701 Immokalee Drive, Immokalee, FL 34142, from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM. The event will offer a variety of food items to help meet immediate needs and support the well-being of the community.
