Community Cooperative & Bonita Springs YMCA Partner to Launch New Mobile Pantry Location
Community Cooperative and the Bonita Springs YMCA are thrilled to announce a new partnership aimed at expanding access to essential food resources through the launch of a mobile pantry at the YMCA’s Bonita Springs’ location. This exciting collaboration is set to enhance the well-being of local families and individuals by providing nutritious food options directly to the community.
The new mobile pantry will operate monthly at the Bonita Springs YMCA, strategically situated to serve the surrounding neighborhoods effectively. This initiative will address food insecurity in the region, ensuring that those in need have convenient access to fresh produce, staple items, and other vital resources.
“We are incredibly excited about this partnership with the Bonita Springs YMCA,” said Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “By bringing our mobile pantry services to this new location, we are able to extend our reach and provide much-needed support to more families and individuals in our community. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to alleviate hunger and promote well-being.”
The Bonita Springs YMCA has been a cornerstone of community health and wellness, and this partnership further strengthens its role as a hub for positive change. “The YMCA is committed to supporting the health of our community in all aspects,” said Angel Cerritos, District Executive Director of the Bonita Springs YMCA. “Partnering with Community Cooperative allows us to address an urgent need and make a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors. We look forward to working together to create a stronger, more resilient community.”
The mobile pantry at the Bonita Springs YMCA will offer a range of services, including:
- Fresh Produce: Fruits and vegetables to promote healthy eating.
- Staple Foods: Pantry essentials such as grains, and proteins.
- Hot Food: Freshly prepared, nutritious meals are served offering comfort and essential nutrients to those in need.
